One of the most enjoyable reads of my life. The author uses his interactions with people in a bar as the crux of the book's "plot," and you wouldn't think that would make for much of a hook, but the writing is so consistently good and the tugs at the heart strings are so palpable that this book should join some type of literary canon. Also, nicely, few books can make me laugh out loud, and this one did several times.
I don't think you can go wrong with this book. Bravo to the author. If you like this book you should read the Agassi memoir, because this author ghost wrote the book for Andre.Get more detail about Tender Bar, The.
