Cocktails By Jimmy Late Of Ciro's 1930 Reprint Review

This historical bar guide is sort of a split personality. For the history, I'd give it five stars. The great toasts and drinks of a London which doesn't easily come to mind. However, it's a hard book to use today. Neither the gins nor the mixers have survived quite intact. And it's not clear if when you make substitutions what you get is what was intended. In particular, some of the drinks I made from the book did not seem to turn out very well. I suspect it's ingredients. The tropical/rum vintage drink books seem to survive better their translation through time.Get more detail about Cocktails By Jimmy Late Of Ciro's 1930 Reprint.
